This guy did it, too, and he did it well
One of the comments on my post about a near-death experience outside of Birmingham came from a guy named Padraic Ryan. He travelled the western United States by train last year, and he wrote a travelogue -- that's what these are called -- along the way. And he did it well. It is suggested reading.

Jesus, I think this guy saw more of the interesting haunts of Toronto than I did...and I lived in TO for three years! The T.F. Rare Books Library? Never been. Then again, I've never stepped foot in any of U of T's buildings.
I like how he's got his trip statistics. Including carbon emissions.
